With your permission, I'll put a few frames in my portfolio. You pay for film and developing on the day, or by bank transfer afterwards.

How it works

    On Instagram, WhatsApp or by e-mail. A rough date is enough.

  2. We pick a date and a place

    The best light is an hour or two before sunset. If it rains, we reschedule.

  3. Photos within 2 weeks

    I develop and scan the film myself and send you a download link.

Hi, I'm Richard

I've been taking photos for eight years, the last four on film: medium format, 35 mm and old Kodaks. I develop the film myself.

I've shot festivals, sports, cultural events and portraits of artists and musicians, so I'm at home photographing people both in motion and up close. We'll go for a walk, talk, and I'll photograph what happens between you.

We can talk in English, Czech or Slovak.

Questions

Why film?

Film has a colour, grain and softness that digital filters only imitate. Every frame costs money, so I shoot with more care: fewer clicks, more real moments. Medium format also holds more detail and a beautifully soft background.

What if it rains?

We move it to another day at no extra cost. Light fog or a grey autumn afternoon can look lovely on film, though.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely. Dog, bikes, a guitar, anything that's part of you.

Do we get digital files?

Yes. I scan every good frame in high resolution and send you a download link, so you can print and share them.
